31 May - 5 June 2009, Karibea Resort Sainte-Luce
Sainte-Luce, Martinique
The first “Turbulence and Interactions“
conference (TI2006) was held at the IGeSA Centre on the Porquerolles
Island (France) from May 29 to June 2, 2006. This was a unique event as
it allowed to gather together many organisations concerned with
turbulence research in a single spot. As the title “Turbulence and
Interactions” anticipated, the workshop was not run on the basis of
parallel sessions but instead in serial sessions where people had
strong interactions and sharings. The website of the conference is http://www.onera.fr/congres/ti2006/.
The TI2009 Conference, the second one of a
series, participates to the same philosophy, with emphasis in providing
strong evidence that the three pillars of science, namely theory,
experiments and computing, through their interplay come to achieving
progress in understanding and predicting the physics of complex flows
and engineering problems. Contributions will give some deep insight
into the very different interaction phenomena with turbulence.
